The Flag of Laozi

In this second serie of Laozi exhibitions, I use the fluentzy of the Daodejing, to describe the obstruction of our so called true memories. The fact that we think we know what we remember, and call it our truth, when in fact the memories move and change figure as often as any other thing in our life. The visual of this is the ink drawings, where i move, push, stretch, and squeeze objects together so it look like a constant wave of matter, and become nature in constant flux. Its a river, and ocean the clouds, or the strong wind, its everywhere. I made the flag look like that, because thats the way the flag moves, folds of wind, turbulent and never ending.

Laozi:

Is a very ancient poet and philosopher, writing for more than 2500 years ago, but it seems as if it could have been written yesterday. I came across Laozi by reading Ursula K. Le Guin´s book, Laozi Daodejing:" A book about the road and the power of the road." I adupted his thoughts, because like the american writer and philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, also he is writing about the essential things in life. Laozi is talking about the Road, as the road we all take in life. Life it self, is is always moving, always fluent in time.
